The Apple Pencil is a wireless stylus for certain iPad models that lets you take handwritten notes, sketch, draw, and paint, as well as control the iPad. The process of charge apple pencil and connecting is almost the same. Here's how you can charge your first-generation Apple Pencil.

• Take the top cap off your Apple Pencil and hold it in your hand. You'll notice the Apple Pencil has a lighting connection at the end.

• The pencil's power port connects to the bottom of the iPad.iPad also has a Lightning port.

• Apple Pencil will start charging when you connect. Charging will start when you hear a ding sound.

• The Apple Pencil will be fully charged in about 15 to 30 minutes.

If you don't enjoy charge Apple Pencil through your iPad, you can use the Lightning adapter that came with your Apple Pencil. To charge Apple Pencil, connect it to the adapter and then to the Lightning cable.

 Charge 2nd Generation Apple Pencil:

Apple's second-generation Pencil has a great charging experience. The iPad Pro and iPad Air models released after the second generation of the Apple Pencil were designed to support it. In these iPads, the corners are flat and the home button is missing.

Because it has a single flat edge, the second-generation Apple Pencil attaches magnetically to the side of the iPad (along with a programmable button). To charge  Apple Pencil, follow these easy steps:

• First, you need to hold your 2nd generation Apple Pencil on top of your iPad (when in landscape mode).

• You'll see a pop-up on your iPad notifying you that the Apple Pencil is charging, and you'll also be able to see how much battery life is left.

Can I charge Apple Pencil without the charger?

Fortunately, neither the first nor the second generation Apple Pencil required a charger to recharge its batteries.

As shown above, you can charge the second-generation Apple Pencil wirelessly by placing it on top of a compatible iPad. The original Apple Pencil can be plugged directly into the iPad's Lightning port for more power.

How to Charge the Original Apple Pencil?

To charge your first-generation Apple Pencil, remove the cap from the end of the pencil, exposing the Lightning connector. Then insert the pencil into your iPad's Lightning port. If you've plugged in your Pencil but it's not charging, your charging port may be blocked by debris.

Alternatively, you can plug the Apple Pencil into a regular Lightning cable using the Apple Pencil charging adapter that comes with the Pencil.

 Check Charging Status:

Unfortunately, you can't see if the first generation's power is increasing. While there are two ways to check if your Apple Pencil 2 is charging.

You can swipe left to right on your home screen to bring up the Today View menu. In the Batteries section, you'll see a pen icon. If the Apple Pencil is charging, it will show a battery icon with a lightning bolt inside.

Another way to check if your second-gen pen is powering up is to add a widget to your home screen.

• Go to the Today view by swiping from left to right on your home screen.

• Scroll down to the bottom of it and tap on the rectify press stud.

• Find the Batteries widget, select it, and add it to your home view.

• However, you must enable Bluetooth to see it listed under the Batteries section or Widgets.

• The steps above will teach you how to know if the second-generation Apple Pencil is charging.

 Check Battery Status:

To check the battery level of the Apple Pencil for both generations, you can access the battery widget. Add it to your home screen and turn on your iOS device's Bluetooth. Doing so will show the battery level of your pen in the widget.

In addition to the above method, you can also magnetically attach it to your iPad via a magnetic connector. A pop-up balloon will appear at the top of your device's screen, showing your stylus's battery level. This is a good way to check the battery status of the second-generation Apple Pencil. Finally, you can go to the Settings menu of your iOS device. Go to the Apple Pencil section and tap on it. You should see the battery level in the upper right corner.

Why will my Apple Pencil not charge on my iPad?

Only the second-generation Apple Pencil supports wireless charging when attached to the top of the iPad, and only subsequent iPad models support this wireless charging functionality.

• iPad Air (4th generation)

• iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd and 4th generation)

• iPad Pro 11-inch (1st and 2nd generation)

Placing a second-generation Apple Pencil on top of an iPad not included in the above list will not initiate the charging process.

If you're still having trouble charging your second-generation Apple Pencil, check that you're plugging it into the top of your iPad, next to the power and volume buttons, and that Bluetooth is turned on. Also, make sure your iPad is turned on and plugged into a self-charging or power source. If the iPad has no power, the Apple Pencil will not charge.

How prolonged does it take to charge Apple Pencil?

The 1st and 2nd generation Apple Pencils do not require a charger to charge their batteries.In addition to charging the second-generation Apple Pencil wirelessly, if you have a compatible iPad, you can place it on top of the iPad to set it up. Using a first-generation Apple Pencil directly from an iPad with a compatible charger, remove the pencil's silver tip and connect it directly to the iPad's charging port.The Apple Pencil, including first- and second-generation models, contains rechargeable batteries, unlike Microsoft's Surface Pen and other styluses that use disposable batteries.

When fully charged, the Apple Pencil battery lasts up to 12 hours, so you won't have to worry about charging it frequently. To assess the 2nd gen Apple Pencil, you need to place it on top of the iPad whenever it's not in use.

iPad not charge Apple Pencil:

Attaching the Apple Pencil to the top of the iPad only enables wireless charging with the second-generation Apple Pencil and later iPad models.

The iPad (4th generation), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd and 4th generation), and 11-inch iPad Pro (1st and 2nd generation) are being discussed here. Other than the iPad described above, the second-generation Apple Pencil will not start charging when placed on any device other than the devices listed above.

The first generation of the Apple Pencil does not support wireless charging. Even the iPad models mentioned earlier aren't compatible with wireless charging. Place the second-generation Apple Pencil on top of your iPad, near the power and volume buttons, and make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Make sure the iPad is turned on and powered up. Apple Pencil won't charge when the iPad runs out of juice; Apple Pencil will not charge.

Charge apple pencil with the Lightning adapter:

A more complicated way to charge Apple Pencil is with a Lightning cable. This procedure requires a female-to-female Lightning adapter. When you connect the adapter, then simply plug the Apple Pencil into any Lightning cable that's lying around. Again, the Apple Pencil will charge from a dead battery within 15-30 minutes. Fortunately, with the second generation, Apple has refined the design of the Apple Pencil in a way that makes charging a breeze. Just like the Apple Watch, the new Apple Pencil charges wirelessly. This makes the process very easy so you will never lose the pencil, nor will it be dead when you want to use it.

• First of all, remove the cap from the back of your Apple Pencil.

• Then plug the lightning adapter into your lightning cable.

• Well, 15 seconds of charging will give you 30 minutes. in use, but it's still most practical to charge it overnight when you're not using it.

Does the Apple Pencil need to be charged?

Yes. Unlike Microsoft's Surface Pen and other styluses that use removable batteries, the first-generation and second-generation Apple Pencils have built-in rechargeable batteries. The good news is that the Apple Pencil has about 12 hours of battery life after a full charge, so you don't need to charge it very often.

Is it OK to leave the Apple Pencil on the iPad?

 You should always keep your second-generation Apple Pencil plugged into your iPad when you're not using it - as this will keep the battery charged optimally - and importantly, the small battery of the Pencil. Protect from damage.
